The making of an unseen movie: our relationship was creating these byproducts
Artistic compulsiveness demands to be noted, envied and sometimes admired, and I must harp again on Four-Eyed Monsters, a film by Arin Crumley and Susan Buice, which debuted at Slamdance, played South by Southwest and Chicago Underground, among other festivals. They've posted the second charming, intimate short chronicling their two years-and-counting process. Of the first installment, Filmmaker magazine editor Scott Macauley wrote, "... Given how hard I've been trying to get a screener DVD from the filmmakers [this] must be the hardest-to-see film of all this year's hard-to-see pics without distribution. While I wait... and wait for a screener, I'll content myself with the videoblog, the first clip of which is a totally charming ode to being a broke filmmaker without a deal."

For the latest, which ought to be gorge-worthy, considering the things these mid-twentysomethings are saying about art and their lives, but instead is as strong as the pic, go here.

Their eagerness to find new channels for their output demonstrates the first baby steps of what filmmakers will be doing in the months and years to come. The intro episode is here.
