Triple dippy feature
I envy friends who see only the films they want to see, who are content with whatever shooshes down the Netflix pipe next. Film festivals and their many choices are one matter, but the daily schedule for press screenings where I live is generally imposed by the booking of one daytime screening room, subject to the needs of the distributors, the publicists, certain other reviewers. Which is why a Thursday triple feature for me can look like this: Ingmar Bergman's Sarabandfor lunch, followed by a fresh print of Rebel Without a Cause and a light dinner of Hustle & Flow. A crazed combination, but painless except for the scads of seriously stinky food some reviewers favor across an 8-hour span.
