I'm not American so I obviously don't give a hoot about Thanksgiving, but I am thankful that it has given us some memorable movies (Addams Family Values = best Thanksgiving movie).

However, on what you were saying, I am thankful that there are indeed David Lynchs, Sofia Coppolas, Marc Shainbergs, Ray Lawrences, Terrence Malicks, Baz Luhrmanns, Greg Arakis, Michael Hanekes and so forth in this world who continue to make the movies that they want to make.

Thank goodness this time you shaved. Now let's talk about this novel invention called the treadmill.

so kvetching leads to 4 minutes of cynicism leads to plot loss.

I don't have a critique today David. You're better than that.

I am Jeff Wells' Ego and I am pigmentally challenged.

AFV's the best Thanksgiving movie? What about "Planes, Trains, & Automobiles?"

well, i'll be damned. that was a genuinely inspiring little missive, david. try to tap into that sentiment more than once a year. we'll all benefit.

4-and-a-half day weekend here, 5 for you. The table you’re seated at is the best one in the room for you; cool lighting, nice line above you. And, what’s to your left, another table or a mirror? You're so mellow -- inhale noise, deep breath, cough; in honor of ... ?, Thanksgiving?

P.S. Thanks for the LAT story on the home page. I ”told you,” melsmegafans “broke” the Primetime show news on Saturday, with the error (since fixed), that it would be a Barbara Walters special. I guess they didn’t see The View or the phone line had a lot of static on it.

Brack, PT&A is good and all (obviously), but Addams Family Values? Christina Ricci deserved an Oscar for that performance, honestly.
