Luminita Gheorghiu! Someone (Klady?) needs to tell the story of who came up with that one and talked everyone else into it. Other than that ... surprising strength for United 93 seems to be the theme of the day ...

Glad someone remembered The Inside Man.

So happy to see Inside Man and The Devil Wears Prada on the AFI list. Just because they don't aspire to be world-beating masterpieces, doesn't make them any less well-made exciting pictures. And also happy seeing Borat and Happy Feet on the list.
Also, way to go United 93. I still reckon that lone director spot is Greengrass's.

I enjoyed both Kami, but top 10 of the year? Come on. No way.

Inside Man will probably end up on my top ten list.
It's been a good year, on average, but with few truly outstanding movies. In a year like this, a truly well-crafted genre piece can be among the best.
