Images Of Day 1... So Far...

Chicago 10 opens the fest tonight. The Park City hot spot may end up being at the Treasure Mountain Inn headquarters of Slamdance. And right now, it feels like we are all still waiting for the work to begin.
One great irritant to me... Sundance has regressed into a No Overnight Screener policy, which was one of the great things available at this fest. To be able to take a quick look at a few titles that you will NEVER get to during the course of the fest was not only convenient and a great opportunity, but it brought more than a few titles into my consciousness in the last year years that I am thrilled to have seen. The new DVD system, watching the movies in little cubicles, is silly at a festival, when films are playing constantly on the big screen.
Oh well...

I actually still have a screener I forgot to return last year so...it's probably my fault partly.
