Sundance 2 - DiCillio Shocker!!!

Just a quickie, but much to my shock, Delirious is a major-league indie crowd pleaser and could end up being one of the biggest sales of the festival. It isn’t Little Miss Sunshine or Napoleon Dynamite by a $30 million shot. But it has the makings of a cult classic, including a perfect performance by Steve Buscemi, the best use of Michael Pitt aside from Van Sant, and enough extra flavor, whether the hot Gina Gershon as a horny manager and Alison Lohman as a kinder gentler BrittanyParisLindsay. Lots of eye candy. Lots of showbiz satire that is pretty close to documentary. And a fairly relaxed piece altogether.

More later...

"Delirious" had already received very great reviews in San Sebastian Film Festival. I'm surprised that no US distributor acquire this movie before Sundance Film Festival.

I don't think he's matched Living in Oblivion, but I really like DiCillo. Glad to hear he's got a winner (and presumably a theatrical release).

Me, too. THE REAL BLONDE was one of the best relationship movies I've seen in ages; too bad nobody else saw it. (And yes, OBLIVION is just marvelous.) He's way overdue for major big-screen recognition; hope this will be the one.
