The Brave Directing One

Several scenes in The Brave One featured phone numbers mentioned or shown, and they seemed realistic... until the very last scene showing a cell phone which displayed a text message with "555" in big font.... which to me says "And now to interrupt this movie to remind you that you are watching a movie with a fake movie number and thus this is very unrealistic... and now back to your movie... try to forget you are watching a movie, if you can... thank you!!"

If they are going to use real-looking numbers for 9 out of 10 numbers shown or spoken, why not go for 10 out of 10? Otherwise they might as well have all been "555" numbers!!

Sloppy.

You manifest in many forms, DP, but this Tom Snyder-ish side is probably my favorite. Thanks for sharing.

Neil Jordan is a gem.
