Don Murphy, where you at? Saw you in the extras for Shoot 'Em Up, but not a word here for months. My wife hated Transformers, but she liked Shoot 'Em Up,

Oh, and kudos for letting them spend the money on real songs.

So when do you actually eat lunch?

Congratulations, David. I've always been a big fan of those Faber & Faber "Cronenberg on Cronenberg," "Burton on Burton,"-style wide-ranging interview texts and these have really been right there in that wheelhouse. These "lunches" are generally more casual and more informative than 90% of what you'll later see in the EPK-style/studio publicist-approved DVD extras on any given film.
In a perfect world, Reelz or Sundance or IFC would just put this on their channel (I'm sure Reelz could spare a moment in between the neverending "The Directors" re-runs, interesting as they are to try and armchair precisely when the director interviews actually took place).

I agree that they're good but I just think that there are too many interviews on the web and on TV that function as simply publicity or tools for publicists. I personally would be more interested in these and others if they were more probing or honest - we all get tired of hearing the same old answers from actors and directors - they're so predictable often one can just fill in the blank. The model for this, to me, would be Terry Gross for NPR's Fresh Air. She asks tough questions but always gets unique answers. Just a suggestion.
