Seriously, is there any summer in the last decade this couldn't apply to? This seems rather facile, if you ask me. Low hanging fruit, as it were.

I like this guys other work I've seen. Possibly the pressure of doing a weekly as well for MCN is busting his creative chops, as this one hell of a flaccid toon. Good cartoons should operate on multiple tiers. This one is as superficially bland as the material it aims to skewer.
