My Tony Picks
Bad internet connections and trouble in the air slowed this one down... a lot.

i'm hoping that cubby bernstein can push 'xanadu' to a win.....and, btw-- if you haven't watched the 'cubby bernstein' youtube vids, check 'em out....they're pretty brilliant (nathan lane backstage at 'xanadu'...priceless)......

Not a very unpredictable night - really looking forward to heading back and checking out "In the Heights" (which apparently my ex-wife is involved in somehow!) and "Passing Strange" - but when Tracy Letts made that crack about "August: Osage County" using "theater actors" with the implied snub against Broadway using, say, Mario Lopez or whomever, that was a bit ungracious and surprising. I know there's this whole chip-on-the-shoulder about the "what's the show about?" versus the "who's in it?" crowd of Broadway-goers and producers, but this was the fucking Tonys. Yeah, you wrote the best new show in years, but have a little respect.

Oh man, it looks as if Stan Winston has died. So, so sad. A legend - may he rest in peace.
