DP/30 - Thandie Newton, Pt 1 of 2

Currently starring in W. as Condoleezza Rice and Rocknrolla as Stella, The Accountant.
She speaks in great detail about how she put together her version of Secretary of State Rice (about half way through this half of the interview)... but there is a lot of other conversaton about her other work...
"The one film my darling little girl has seen... has to be one of the worst films ever made."

THANDIE OWNS.
HOTNESS.
Poland looking pretty dapper in this one to boot. How'd you get the video to look like a PAL conversion? Combined with her AWESOME accent, it gave this a pleasant BBC vibe and look.

Her performance in W. is by far the worst in the film and maybe one of the worst portrayals of a real figure in film history.

She's got a long way to go to beat John Wayne's Genghis Khan.

That's true, but at least they were all punished with cancer.

BurmaShave, I'd tell you what a horrible person you are for writing that, but then I'd have to stop laughing.

Hey, it's that wonderful liberal Burma Shave and some of his soul cancerous wit. Guess HE isn't as much fun these days after the purge?

Her performance was on of the highlights of the film. If you've ever seen Condi Rice on TV or in an interview she got down nuances and voice better than any other actor in that film.

This might be my favorite interview you've ever done. There's much more to her than meets the eye. Can't wait for part 2.

TRUTH ABOUT CHARLIE OWNS.
Or at least is underrated; That setpiece in the rain at the end with the lowered guns is a great Demme moment. And I usually prefer movies to end with everyone getting OWNED, but the way he subverted the convention there was pretty exciting.
And WAHLBERG'S BERET COMMANDS YOU.
