Loved Pryor to death...
...but as you know, Bill Clinton was actually called the first black president.
Seems rather silly now.

What impresses me most about this is how differently paced this sketch is from what we see today. It really takes quite a while, after the joke of the entrance, for the next gag to come up. Slow start to a gradual huge ramp-up.

Classic. You can get away with that kind of slow build with Pryor, cuz you know it'll be worth the wait.
But I think James Earl Jones in "The Man" came first.

Morgan Freeman in Deep Impact was one of the more recent.
And what about Tiny Lister (from 1st & 10) in 5th Element. He was President of the Galaxy or something wasnt he?
