poor guy. Wonder if Rourke's going to dedicate his Oscar to his dog? I've got a great bond with my pet, and I'm not really ready to prepare for the loss I'll have to deal with in the future.

This is old puppy porn. But having your dog die in your arms like my neighbor did in her bed until she took her to the vet first thing, early in the morning for a shot that did the rest, is the way to go. I think I'm going to post this.

I was going to express my opinion of small dogs, but I can't do it. Poor Mickey.

oh, poor mickey rourke, he seemed so attached to that little old dog, he took it everywhere. he must be shattered.

i've heard him ridiculed several times for showing his affection for his dogs, and rourke is obviously a bit eccentric, but i think it shows a certain strength of character to be open about what is obviously an important part of his life - his relationship with his dogs - rather than hiding it away in order to 'be cool'. kudos to rourke for being true to himself and loki right to the end.

I actually interviewed Rourke a few years back while he had Loki with him. And trust me: The guy loved his dog. My sincere condolences are out to him.

As an animal lover it's always sad.

Even though I'm not a dog person.

This would have clinched him the Oscar if it happened before the vote.
