Slumdog Millionaires? You mean they made a sequel all ready?

OK, let me preface everything I'm about to say with this: I realy enjoyed Frost/Nixon. Unlike a lot of people who post here, I think it deserved every Oscar nom it received (and a few it didn't). BUT: Am I misreading the chart, or is there a possibility that it eventually might get out-grossed by the considerably less-hyped Last Chance Harvey (another movie, BTW, that I like) if word of mouth keeps the latter in theaters?

Joe: It seems that way. It's rather funny that the Academy has once again decided to go with five films that are not even close to being earners. Everyone can go on about Mumbai grossing 100m, but that's not a guarantee. Heck... Button... is the only one who made money and look at it now. DOA.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science: Do not make a great movie that earns a lot of money. If so; we will ignore it, and nominate a film that's less great out of spite! Sure it will only gross 15m, but it's ART! You are commerce. Commerce bad.

Kim Voynar: Can we please agree that "the media" is a meaningless phrase to toss around casually? And that, in fact, you are part of it?

HEY LOU Y. CADDYSHACK THOMPSON:
I saw Underworld: ...Lycans, and kinda liked it too. You know what's interesting about the movie? Like, yeah, it's not very good, and it's kinda drab and clunky as a genre entry (that monochrome sheen even put ME in a stupor)...
but somehow in the middle of that, you get Sheen and Nighy acting like they're in fucking BECKET or something, acting their asses off with this awesome, stagey, balls-out serious-thespian performances... in the middle of a vampires vs. wolves movie.
Not sure if the everyday viewer appreciates that kinda thing, but I was kind of pleasantly bemused, if not in awe, that two great actors who could've phoned it in on a slumming third-entry horror movie, upped their game and performed with their trademark skill and dedication.
