The cartoon one surely is why Alan Moore pulls his name of the adaptations.

Saturday Morning Watchmen is the best thing ever made with the Watchmen name on it, including the books.

thank god that NEVER really happened (re the Saturday morning cartoons). I saw a Watchmen shirt the other day and I was tempted to buy it, but Alan Moore would probably place a curse on me.

Saturday Morning Watchmen is pretty funny for a fan effort if you have at least a fair awareness of both The Watchmen and late 80s/early 90s cartoons. Rorschach as "friend to the animals" and Silk Spectre as head of a Jem-like band made me laugh.

The singing voice on the cartoon sounds like Jello Biafra...

To be fair, this is more like late 1970s/mid-80s stuff. Early 90s were a time of quality cartoons, with stuff like Batman: The Animated Series, Animaniacs, and Gargoyles.
Still, that was pretty darn funny.

Yeah, the cartoon was dead on, like what a Watchmen cartoon might've actually been like in the mid-80s after some kids' animation development team got through with it.
