No Dragonball: Evolution? I'm sure many people would rather have their nuts tied to a ball-and-chain which gets tossed off the Empire State Building than sit through that. Which is why it's perfect for my yearly endurance test. Usually my yearly endurance tests are something over three hours like Caligula or Gods and Generals, but this will do.

wow that's mighty male-centric of you, joe straat. let you in on a little secret: roughly half of all 'people' walk around without nuts! (thank god) can you believe it?

I saw a magazine cover the other day that offered a contest exclaiming 'win a private screening of Dragonball Z for you and fifty of your friends'. All I could think was... all you have to do to get a private screening of Dragonball Z is go to any theater playing Dragonball Z over opening weekend.

I find it hard to summon up much vitriol for films I haven't seen. Hannah Montana will "win" this poll, because not one person in the target demo will visit this blog. Kneejerk stuff.
Besides, anyone who plays is being dishonest. I guarantee you that no one would actually choose inhumane torture over viewing one of these films. :)

1) "Obsessed" looks like a MASTERPIECE. Ali Larter vs. Beyonce? They should've thrown in some Lohan/Mara/Isla firecrotch action too, for the perfect Neopolitan Swirl of hotness.
2) Gee, shocker, increasingly Turanesque Poland disses "Crank 2." Oh, well. His loss. Statham = best delivery on expectations for your buck, movie in and movie out.
3) Is Robert Downey Jr. supposedly playing a LATINO in "The Soloist"? I can't remember the character's name or the real-life LA TIMES counterpart, but I swear in some clip he's all regular Robert Downey Jr., then drops like, "My name is Hector Ramon Diaz," or something.

Count me as a Statham fan as well. He makes drek watchable (DEATH RACE) and good films better (the TRANSPORTER franchise).
