Loving John Waters

Picture 5.png
Waters has a gallary show here in L.A. for the next month or so... Vanity Fair was compelled by the movies shown on asses, but I like this one, Children Who Smoke, even better.

(more info on the show and when you can see it)

Let's see if I can identify these child actors... Shirley Temple, Buckwheat (from Our Gang/Little Rascals). I think the blonde girl with braids was Patty McCormack, best known for "The Bad Seed"? And that girl with the dark hair looks like Margeret O'Brien, but I can't be sure. I don't recognize most of these male actors, though.

Right column, top down: Shirley Temple, Elizabeth Taylor, Ron Howard, Jerry Mathers (Beaver Cleaver).

I'm drawing a blank on the top left-hand corner kid, and I'm only guessing that the bottom left-hand boy is, um, "Boy" from Tarzan (Johnny Sheffield). The others were a snap.

DeafBrown: That is indeed Patty McCormack, and in fact I think the pic appears to be The Bad Seed.

By the way, all those kids look cool as hell. The cigs also enrich their characterizations.

Yancys, I could have sworn that bottom-left boy is also from a Tarzan movie, but I wasn't sure. Now I'm positive it is him.
