So the deluxe package includes only the extended cut and not the theatrical cut, and they haven't integrated the Black Freighter material yet. FAIL.

The Black Freighter is the animated material, isn't it? I have to be honest, I don't know why anyone would want that in the movie. I'm glad it wasn;t in the theatrical version.

I've got my pre-order in for Watchmen: Theatrical: FullScreen - No Bonus features. Because I'm good like that. This version will be the collector's item.

The Black Freighter cut is coming after this one...they've pretty much always said that.

Hal: this is how it's going to be. If you are not going to go all in. You GET NOTHING! NOT EVEN ZE TRAILER OF ZE FILM YOU BOUGHT! NIGN! NIGN! NIGN!
That aside; the reason why the Freighter is not in the film... the DVD sold well by itself. Getting it out of the stores in order to put it in the movie, is a counter-productive business move at thie point.
That's why we will probably get an ultimate edition of Watchmen either this Christmas or next March. It just makes more business sense to let the peripherals sell as long as they can. Before you unleash the power of ULTIMATE EDITION on the people. You dig?

Glad to see they didn't pull a Speed Racer after the film underperformed. Nice to see they put what could be a big spoiler right in the press release.

Why even go to Apatow/geek movies anywhere when all they do is release a directors cut four months lateR?

If there is a director's cut of Funny People. Someone needs to sit Judd down, show him a Woody Allen comedy, and tell; "REPLICATE DO NOT DUPLICATE." Seriously, 150 for a comedy is fucking long times. Nevertheless, you go see them in the theater in order to determine if you want to see more of it at home.

I do think the extended versions of both 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up were significantly weaker than the theatrical releases.
