DP/30 - Moon dir Duncan Jones

Duncan Jones: it was very important to us that we made a film which didn’t feel like just a little British independent film. Because of the effects background I have had, I knew that that was something that I could bring to it. When we were writing the film, it was trying to come up with something that, for Sam Rockwell, would be an interesting acting challenge. So again, it's just making the puzzle work. It was ambitious, but it was something we thought it would be manageable. Obviously, when you actually do it, you realize how tough it is.

Q: Have you ever... do you sing at all?
Duncan Jones: No. That was my big rebellion growing up. My poor dad, he tried to get me learn all these instruments and I just had no interest. I would have nothing to do with it. So, you know, I regret it now. I wish I could play the piano, play the guitar... something. But I can't.
The complete video interview in QT after the jump (now with louded audio)... and the podcast is available here.
