I Don't Know How He Got The Clearances, But Interesting Remixes

Two more after the jump...

You are posting and commenting on pirated content Dave. Isn't that what you skewered Roger for? By your own definition this would be a fireable offense right?

Even if that's rigt, doesn't matter when you're self-employed.

Actually, tfresca, as I noted, I have to assume he has clearances. The Alice video has been up on YouTube for almost 2 full years and had had over 2 million views.

But thanks for the drama.

And why do you always have something to say about every little thing, J-Mc, even if you make no sense? Of course, if tfresca had a real point about piracy and wasn't just stirring up shit, I would take it very seriously. And so would Disney, a company my business deals with every week of the year.

David, why are you always so cranky about every little thing I post? Even when my posting rate declines precipitously?

Posted by: jeffmcm [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 6, 2009 07:55 PM

I am not "always so" anything about your posts. I rarely respond to them at all. But when you post something like this...honestly, man... what's the point? If you're trying to call me a hypocrite, you don't have the balls to step up and say it, even in the smarty pants way tfresca goes for it. If you are trying to make a real point, you are too non-specific for anyone to make real sense of it.

But mostly, it's like... "WTF is he mouthing off for?" tfresca is just wrong. I can live with that, even if I prefer not to feel that I need to respond to it. But your think is like a tomato from the peanut gallery, the thrower of which pretends he didn't do it after it's been thrown.

Jesus Christ, DP. On this subject (recriminations about harmless Youtube videos) I'm on your side. I was making fun of Tfresca's silly accusation. I apologize for not being clearer, but there seemed to be no need for it.

Jeeeeez.

And on the secondary point, I'm sorry that in the last four years, I've become your third most-hated-person on Earth (after Finke and Friedman), but there comes a point when it starts to become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

You have a rather insanely aggrandized idea of how and how often I think of you.

Your intent is still a blur to me. And I don't even know who you think is self-fulfilling their prophecy. If you have something to say, just say it straight. If you don't really have anything to say, please just stop typing. That's all I am saying.

Jeff zero, Poland EIGHT ZILLION.

Thanks for this; the Mary Poppins one in particular is pretty goddamn brilliant.

Yeah... I was really enjoying them all... there are another bunch on his YouTube channel.

DP, we obviously do not understand each other on some kind of deep and fundamental level (which is something that I've said before, using these exact, very clear words). I apologize for my earlier lack of clarity in making a bad toss-off joke. And no, I don't _really_ think you give a shit about me as much as your much-loathed Nikki and Roger. But, in my humble perception, you seem to think I'm out to snipe at you and mock your comments in a way that absolutely hasn't been true since you gave me a phone call after midnight in 2006. Again, I apologize for the years-long understanding and would be happy to start over again.

These are amazing - especially in concert with the videos. The three Disney ones (especially the one from "Mary Poppins") are the best, coming off almost Bjork-like with the voice and tone of innocence. Even though it's a bit off the beaten track, glad you posted these up. Unexpected beauty = always welcome.

I have to be in a certain mood for these, but it's definitely good stuff.

DP, you need to watch the Alice one like this. It's how I first discovered it: http://tinyurl.com/dhjo8e

My accusations while tongue in cheek are not silly. I'm making a point about online streaming video. I don't like seeing anybody lose their job, especially under those circumstances. There are whole movies streaming online for free. Unless studios are suing people who watch those videos, which they can't do, then I think it was wrong of Fox to fire Roger. I'm not his friend or cheerleader but it's a very slippery slope when a multi-national corporation retaliates on its own employee in this manner.

I have an aside question, did Claude get fired from The Business on KCRW because of his on air prop 8 rant?
