Eh, this was silly when Lord of the Rings did this years ago.

Can you add a DEMAND IT! button to the MCN site to restore LexG's posting privileges?

Posted by: dietcock [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 5, 2009 04:03 PM

As long as there's an adjoining REJECT IT! button.

When I think about LexG being given an opportunity to write for this site and becoming worse instead of better, the scene from Copland comes to mind. "I gave you an opportunity and you BLEW IT!"

This is the only time anyone will ever compare Poland to De Niro and LexG to Stallone. LexG is a smart and funny guy, but he's obviously on a loop that's never going to change. I'd like to be proven otherwise.

If only we didn't provoke him so much...things might have been different.

I heard Young-MC's "Bust a Move" the other day and man, it should be Lex's theme song..

"You're on a mission and you're wishin'
someone could cure you're lonely condition
You're lookin for love in all the wrong places
Not fine girls just ugly faces
From frustration first inclination
Is to become a monk and leave the situation
But every dark tunnel has a lighter hope
So don't hang yourself with a celibate rope"

The whole song is apropos but if I cut and paste it all, it probably won't go through. I say we get MTv to do a "Lex and Young MC" reality show.

And the point of adding your name to the credits of a film you have nothing to do with are what exactly?

Posted by: Aris P [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 5, 2009 05:38 PM

A SAG card.

(I'm kidding).

Particularly odd since the movie in question HAS NO CREDITS.

"If only we didn't provoke him so much...things might have been different."

You really believe that? Time and time again Lex has started his rants about sex/suicide/etc without being provoked. He just starts. And many others times he has insulted people for no reason whatsoever (such as when I commented on the Fury Road budget and he replied by slinging homophobic slurs at me). At least a baby can eventually be taught conditioning.

Anyway, the Paranormal DVD thing is silly and pointless.

Posted by: KamikazeCamelV2.0 [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 6, 2009 03:33 AM

It's not silly and pointless because for some crazy reason, people these days LOVE seeing themselves in the media. Look at those feeds across the bottom of the X-Games and other events where people can text shout outs and what not and see them scroll across. I don't get it but people will go nuts trying to get their name in the credits and that will keep the buzz going on this thing.

Whoever did PR for PA should get a raise.

Kam, do you ever read my posts to Lex here? You would know that I'm being "ironic."
